MEDICAID WAIVER

The Medicaid Waiver is a service intended to assist the individual with community services including: daily living skills, overnight care, transportation, and assistance with daily life skills such as banking, bill payment, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.

The Learning Center of North Arkansas is a licensed provider of this service through the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) and will assist the family and the individual with designing an appropriate plan of care in order to meet the person’s needs.

The waiver serves individuals with a developmental disability, which includes: mental retardation, cerebral palsy, autism or any other condition similar to mental retardation that requires services similar to what a person with mental retardation would require (traumatic brain injury) and the onset of the disability is prior to the person’s 22nd birthday.
